We are deeply saddened to advise you that John C. ("Jack") Laufenberg died on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 due to complications following a heart attack.

The courts, judges, and counsel in the counties where Jack practiced are being notified. The family law division of the Sacramento County Superior Court has already been notified, and the family law divisions of Yolo, El Dorado, Placer, and Solano counties will be notified this week (the week of November 6, 2016). Jack’s passing has been announced on a list-serve widely used by Sacramento County family law lawyers. Your new attorney should be able to have any upcoming dates postponed so the new attorney has enough time to get up to speed on your matter.
